Problem: Create a logo and advertising campaign for the Biscayne Dog Track to be applied to several different marketing vehicles.
Vehicle: Advertising billboard
Concept: The campaign slogan "one track
mind" considers the actual physical presence of the dog track and the
mental mindset of the dogs. The transition of the background from a chaotic
racing atmosphere to a calm silence represents a climatic but sudden finish
of the race for both the fans and the dogs. The change between the two atmospheres
is indicated by the flash of the photo finish. By placing the type in this
same area, the fonts take on the role of the dogs themselves, leaving tracks
and finishing the race in different places. The typeface chosen represents
the lanes that seperate the track.
